Nammo and Thales Australia to cooperate on Next Generation Aircraft Ammunition

Nammo and Thales Australia signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) at Eurosatory today for a planned cooperation on the next generation aircraft ammunition. This is driven by Norway and Australia's involvement in the F-35 fighter program and the need for a new ammunition round capable of meeting all requirements and ensuring lethality against both soft and hard targets. This will include cooperation on the Norwegian ammunition concept, APEX, and a special training round as well as Thales' frangible ammunition round called APFI.

The DGA selects Thales for the COMCEPT design contract for the architecture of satellite communication networks

The DGA (French Defence Procurement Agency) has selected Thales to perform an architectural study and define the ground segments and networks for satellite communications, as a complement to Syracuse: Inmarsat, Telcosat and Athena. This study, known as COMCEPT ('COMplément de Capacités en Elongation, Projection et Théâtre' - Additional Capacities in Elongation, Projection and Theatre), defines the implementation of satellite communications and their use for the armed and security forces.

BAE Systems and DEW Engineering Team for Key Canadian Program

OTTAWA, Canada - BAE Systems and DEW Engineering & Development of Ottawa have signed a teaming agreement to collaborate for the Close Combat Vehicle (CCV) program, which is one of Canada's highest priority programs. DEW has been chosen to carry out final assembly of the turret, as well as integration and test for the CV90 if the vehicle is chosen for the CCV program.
