Spy software and identity theft?
My friend recently had his identity stolen. I know that his girlfriend had spy software installed on their computer, so that she could monitor his behavior and see his passwords (creepy, i know..i’m rooting for a break-up). My question is this, I know that spyware can cause identity theft, so did downloading that software have anything to do with his identity being stolen? He gets calls saying that his credit card information is being used in New York, when he lives in Vermont.
