Pay Day Emergency Loans

You simply cannot predict an emergency, can you? That is the difficulty with emergencies. You can have insurance and you can have fantastic friends and family, but if they cannot help as and when you require it, you are on your own again. Then what happens if you require cash all of a sudden?

Five Stars For What It Is – Best Personal Finance Software Critique

Thank you YNAB! We're currently taking Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University which uses a series of manual forms to track your budget. The software looks simple and was painless to setup, but after using it, you will see that it has some really clever features that were put in to deal with life in the real world! YNAB does not let you do a normal accounting of your income and outgo. Thumbs up to this budgeting tool! After wasting hundreds of dollars on Mint.com, Quicken, and Mvelopes, I gave up on budgeting software programs. I have used an online budgeting program for a few years now and while it was not perfect and I hated paying the fees, I thought I'd never find anything better. Then I decided to give YNAB a try and so far I find YNAB to meet all my needs in a budgeting program. I have tried various budgeting techniques, such as what Dave Ramsey recommends (envelope system), but failed every time. This worked better for me, since you have something that is a little more specific and that you can look at on a daily basis. Then, in December 2007, my wife lost her job, I was in a panic; now what would we do" How would we get by" I've made YNAB Pro a partner in my efforts to become debt free and financially independent. While I have a way to go yet, I just cannot express in words the sense of freedom and the level of stress reduction I have come to enjoy in my life in the six short months I have been using the software. I bought YNAB Pro last July, and since then, I have made measurable progress in the form of a paid off credit card, a steadily growing savings account and an upcoming annual car insurance payment that I'll be able to pay in full. If you want to be proactive with your finances, you should seriously consider YNAB.

Everything Is Great – Online Business Software Critique

No ownership or any issues, even when the application's error message clearly states NOT to contact your financial institution as it's not their problem. Of course, guess what their support does, Blames your bank. It also runs A LOT slower. With the discontinuing support of Microsoft Money my husband and I needed a new source for our home bookkeeping system. The new version was supposed to run faster and work with twice the number of financial institutions. But this is not what I experienced.

The Very Best All The Way – Auto Sales Finance Software Review

If you buy this software, you must understand and follow this rule. Rule Three is that you should prepare for the future by budgeting additional money into categories that will have large irregular expenses.

Finally The Good Stuff – Online Finance Software Review

It started out as a spending tracker for me. But, tracking where the money goes has led to better budgeting. The four rules are an integral part of this program, and while it is relatively easy to set up and get started, it is the understanding and applying of the rules that will transform your situation. It may take a little while to get comfortable with the terminology and to understand the concepts, but when the light bulb goes on as it did for me you'll be amazed at the transformation.

Does Exactly What It Claims – Top Personal Finance Software Critique

This program is a must have to get your financial house in order. I was looking for this type of program since Money 2000! YNAB seemed to have the features I was looking for as well as consistently good reviews. So far have found the system easy to master and am looking forward easily tracking progress toward goals such as my travel, holiday, and loan repayment. While that's too much for me, there will be some who won't be bothered by it. I'd recommend to the software designers fewer fancy graphics effects and more text-based reports. With the plan I have created using YNAB Pro, I will be credit card debt free by March 2010, but I'll go on using YNAB Pro long after that! And, even if YNAB Pro decided tomorrow to charge an annual upgrade fee (which they don't), I'd pay it anyway! It's like increasing the distance between you and the car ahead when driving on ice! I still use Quicken but their budgeting feature leaves a lot to be desired. I strongly suggest that everyone who isn't currently using a budget give the YNAB software a try. Much has been written about the features and capabilities of YNAB so I won't repeat all that here. The information I get with YNAB is pertinent and timely with lots of flexibility for different scenarios. I've had the trial version for the past 6 days. I've been a Quicken user since the DOS days (around 20 years), and have tired of the level of detail I need to track and the time it takes to do it. For those previous reviewers complaining that the positive reviews sound like propaganda (I'm paraphrasing), I assure you I have no connection with the company at all, and had never heard of YNAB until quite recently.

Much Better Than Others – Web Based Personal Finance Software Review

This might sound a little illogical, but it makes it a lot easier to recover psychologically from months where you couldn't stay on your budget. Interestingly, this is the only rule that the software enforces, but if you are keen on having a negative balance, you can actually override this yourself by budgeting the shortfall as a negative amount for the following month. Having said all that, sure, there are a couple of things I miss from Quicken. Automatic transaction download into the program would be nice (the developers are reportedly working on that), and I'd like to see a demarcation line in the register between past and future transactions along with current and future balances. I exercised a 7 day free trial with the intentions of buying the product. I'm a long time quicken user of quicken on windows, which I run in parallels on a mac. Other than that, nice product (at least until its slow response times really get on my nerves and I stop using it altogether) I'm a YNAB believer now. It really does work. This is truly a case of someone who's first goal was to design a very usable piece of software, and only then decided to make it available for others to benefit from.

Economical And Efficient Overall – Family Finance Software Critique

It was the BEST money I have ever spent! There are a lot of finance management software programs out there, but very few that really help you create, refine and stick to a budget. I believe the makers admit this and are working on adding to this feature. I'd really like to see a way to do reports on "payees" instead of "fields" only, but I can do with what the software offers since it brings so much to the table. I personally develop software. I find this software to be incredibly sound, thorough, and succinct.
