Does the SS department give you any documentation of proff that you have reported identity theft?

Victims of identiy theft usually report it to the police, get a valid police report, and then have alerts posted to their credit scores.
The reason the law about proving identity to employers to prove legal citizenship has been halted is because 70% of the errors in the Social Security database involve legal citizens. It is my belief that these errors are from multiple people using the same social security number.
There was a special on TV a while back that showed a woman (US citizen) who couldn’t get a job because 130 people were using her SS #. False SS cards are printed and sold to illegals and when these card holders are hired by employers who have no background checks, the SS amount is sent in under this number. Supposedly there is a special account for this money. I believe the federal government wants to keep this extra money coming in and, therefore, do not want to correct this situation.
The SS does not normally tell people when this situation occurs with their SS #. This worries me because I don’t know how it will effect people when they retire.
I’m sure he would have received a reply of some kind. And he should have filed a police report.
