Have you ever been a victim of Identity Theft?
Sean S asked:
Have you ever been a victim of Identity Theft? If so, how did you handle the situation and do you have any advice outside the recommendations mentioned in this case? Finally, why do you think the rate of identity theft is going up or down in the next couple of years?

No, identify theft is mostly caused by social engineering, basically human manipulation on vulnerable people.
Also its done through Phone Spoofing which is sort of a new method and seems to work well.
But there are ways to unmask caller id etc etc.
Also if you get dox’d (get your information leaked), people can look info on you via name, email, handle, etc.
So you might want to keep your stuff confidential.
