Computer Recycling Ontario Can Save Land Fills

There isn’t a depot to drop off your computer in Ontario. What if we could become acomputer recycling Ontario ? I think that it would be great and there is probably something around just you don’t know about it yet. If everyone took a minute to find a way to get rid of their own computers it would decrease the landfill. I say this because they are getting fuller and fuller and a lot of it is not degradable. There is sometimes a community event held where you can drop off your old parts, paint cans, monitors to be disposed of safely.

If that isn’t for you or you don’t know how to get hold of anyone to help you then you can get on the phone. Contact the maker of your computer and let them know you upgraded, they will instruct you how to send back the computer so they can reuse the parts. You will only have to pay the shipping costs instead. This usually isn’t pricey either but worth getting the hunker out of the house.

But, there are other ways to put the old parts to good use. There are many people out there that would love a computer or at least could use some parts. There are also people out there that have kids and just need something to do reports on and search a little bit on the internet.

You can always sell your tower or parts on a online site, put a add in the newspaper or just give it to someone that you know. There are always people posting ads for old broken down computers that are willing to pay a price to take it off your hands.

One thing that I like to do is call up the local foundations around me and see if they take donations. Someone somewhere can always use a computer like I said. I usually send it off to the Diabetes Association. There are a lot of people out there that just can’t afford a new computer.

Technology changes nearly daily and it is sometimes crazy. You might need a program that you can only use on a new computer. Sometimes no one has the money so they hold on till that last second where it just doesn’t work anymore. There are always more costs to add to the cost of buying a computer. They are just aren’t cheap anymore.

Maybe you have a friend that is in need of a computer. Perhaps if it is still running you can send it to the next person that could really use one. All it takes is one simple act of kindness.

When you go to the store to get your new computer why not ask. Perhaps the agent will know what you can do with your old computer. If they don’t ask them to see if they know anyone in the store that can point you in the right direction. Maybe there is even a program to bring in your old one and get a discount on the new tower.

You can talk to your city too. They sometimes have programs and don’t broadcast it out to around the town. Maybe it is a dump site, or they are aware of a school or library that could use the computer. I think that they want to prevent what is happening to our environment and to our land fills as well. It is a growing and well known issue in Ontario as well as all over the world. Somewhere and through some searching you will be able to find something to help you out.
