Use Harddrive Data Recovery Software to Restore Your File – Recover My Files Quickly

Contrary to popular belief, if a computer does not boot due to hard drive corruption all data is not lost and the hard drive may even be repairable. There are 2 types of hard drive damage. One is fixable by you and the other requires a professional data recovery facility. Physical Drive Damage – Physical damage is the worst. Data recovery can only be done by professionals and can cost up to $1,500 (sometimes higher). Physical damage usually consists of bad actuator arms, damaged platters or fried controller cards.

You can use any of the three steps mentioned below to recover the lost data: Identify the problem: To recover data in the most effective manner it is extremely important to first identify the actual cause behind the loss of the data. Most people who lose data tend to think that their hard drive has crashed and that they should repair it. Sometimes the data loss is caused by the controller.

Clicking Grinding Noises from the Hard Drive Usually, a hard drive sounds smoothly under normal circumstances. When you hear the drive clicking or grinding, it means that the spinning of the Read/Write heads are very close to the magnetic platters. This is a bad warning sign of a crashing drive. Computer Reboots on its own On typical cases, the computer could only do what it was commanded to do. It wouldn’t shut down on its own. But in some cases, it happens that the computer reboots on its own. This could be because of many different factors that are mostly hardware issues like an overheating processor due to very low ventilation. In some cases, it’s disk drive issue.

Windows Freezes Sometimes, it happens that the windows suddenly freezes. It doesn’t do a single command, like exit or minimize windows. Your mouse and keyboard might not work, too. The solution for this is to restart the computer, and most of the time it solves the problem. A Window freezing is just a minor sign of a drive crash.

A word of warning. If your drive ever has any errors on it (bad sectors) it’s reached the end of it’s life and should be replaced ASAP. You’ll be able to see this in the report provided to by the chkdsk command at the end of it’s scan. I offer remote access computer repair. Non-Physical Drive Damage – Non-Physical damage (NPD) is what we’re going to be discussing in this article. NPD occurs when the operating system’s file system (fat or ntfs) gets corrupted due to an improper shutdown (for example). While this damage is may seem really bad (if it’s preventing you from booting your PC), it’s easily fixable with some software that’s already including in any Windows PC and a USB external hard drive enclosure.

Seeking help from DOS programs: There are some DOS programs that are extremely helpful to recover hard drive data on corrupt partitions. To use this option, you need to read the instructions properly.
