identity theft/other problems?
i have people who have found my services (computer repair) on craigslist, and emailed me. they do not say anything specific about me, nor my company.
they all say the same basic thing, and many sentence show up exactly the same in all three letters. the only differences are the first two to three introductory emails, and the number and models of the computers.
they requested my name so that they may make the check for me. they also requested the billing and shipping address.
some of the grammar is incorrect.1 of the email addresses are from Yahoo! and the other is from gmail.
they all offered to pay shipping of the equipment, and say that they will provide the software.
should i be worried?

if you do not know who these people are and you suspect that might have any credit or debit card info at least cancel card at bank and order new. takes about 2 days to get new card. If you didn’t order anything from them alert your local authorites to your issue. they should route you to the proper authority to handle this, probably federal. even if nothing comes of this at least their will be a report on file for futher reference
It’s probably just a phishing attempt. If they had your info they would more than likely personalize the emails to seem more credible.
If you are concerned about ID Theft (everyone should be) email me.
