Have you used the Identity theft protection offered by Lifelock?
Triple_Lutze asked:
I am debating whether to use this service or not. I know that no service can afford to offer absolute protection but would appreciate if I could get first person accounts. Please, reply only if you are currently enrolled or have been enrolled in the past or know someone who is/was enrolled. I have done extensive research on this company but first hand information is always more insightful. Thanks again.

Don’t get it. They guy who runs the company had his identity stolen after he pulled the stunt of putting is SSN on a billboard. It didn’t work for him.
There are lots of people who are unhappy with the service and the difficulty in getting restitution after their ID was stolen.
Well, I looked into this myself not long ago, and decided not to use the service for two reasons:
1) The guarantee is only to pay for legal expenses – not to cover actual losses should you get your identity stolen…
2) …like the Founder of Lifelock did – almost two years ago.
It’s just a way they jerk around with the rules of getting credit reports that you can get for free in other ways. I don’t think it’s worth the money.
